We had a very nice and relaxing time in the wonderful trullo Stefano together with my parents and children, so we lived with three generations in the trullo. We had our stay there in October and could even use the pool a couple of times, it was still warm enough. The sea was even warmer. The care was unique and very loving. We were able to do many excursions and in the evening then enjoyed the absolute silence with the family after the eventful days. In the morning it was so quiet because of the remote location, that one loses any sense of time in the otherwise hectic world. A clear recommendation for those looking for a combination of seclusion and exceptional architecture, as well as the opportunity to quickly satisfy their curiosity about Apulia's beautiful places, restaurants and culture. Thank you for this experience!
Trullo Stefano such a beautiful place. Stayed over for one week 14th to 21st September 2019, two couples over 50yrs. Set in a very rural setting , beautifully restored with a fantastic pool in a very relaxed atmosphere. We were met by the very lovely Antonella who gave us a very thorough run through where everything was located in and around the trullo and an informative talk of where to go and visit in the area. The trullo had everything we needed including an outside pizza oven which we had great fun one evening preparing and baking our own pizza accompanied by copious amounts of local red wine. The trullo was spotlessly clean with lovely comfortable beds, furnishings and fittings. With outside temperatures over 28 degrees the trullo stayed comfortably cool in the absence of air conditioning. The bathroom shower and en suite shower were roomy and spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. A washing machine was a bonus as we had been travelling around southern Italy the previous week and were restricted in the amount of clothes we had been carrying. Evenings were some nights a little cool for sitting outside and combined with some very persistent biting insects forced a retreat to the living area where the TV was linked up to Netflix and Amazon Prime so movie night relaxing after our meal was just the ticket. The trullo is well located for visiting the nearby coastal towns or inland to Alberobello which is well worth visiting. The approach to the Trullo was up a narrow dirt track lane which needed the bushes cutting back in places as the scratching of sharp blackberry bushes down the side of our almost new hire car set our teeth on edge as the vision of the scratches and loss of damage deposit flashed before our eyes each time we approached or exited down the track. One thing to remember is that this is in an area of Olive groves where work is carried out by the farmers. One particular day the peace and tranquility was was totally broken by the cutting of the olive trees form 8am continuously through until 6pm with a very loud petrol saw. A phone call to Antonella led to the arrival of Massimo who very delicately negotiated with the workers a plan for the next few days which meant them reverting to hand cutting when we were about and on days when we were away carrying on with the chain saw which was very much appreciated. Overall we would all highly recommend a stay at Trullo Stefano and could well be back in the future.
We spend our holidays with the whole family, children and parents at trullo stefano. We had 12 wonderful days in october. The area was quit. We adults could read books. The children were happy with the playroom ( table soccer ). My daughter loved the cats in the area. In October the pool is a little bit to cold . But we went to the sea for swimming. The house is clean and there is all of the equipment you need during the stay. Many thanks to Leandro. He was so kind and had so much and good tips for us: where we find the best beaches, where we got the best pizza... He aksed during the stay, if everything is ok and was very helpful. Thanks, we all had a great holiday. Anke
Puglia paradise. A very relaxing and comfortable accommodation in a beautiful part of the world
We spent an amazing week in Puglia, and our stay at Trullo Stefano was one of the highlights. FIRST TIP: You will not be able to find it with GPS and your host will guide you to the location on your arrival. SECOND TIP: Drop a GPS pin at the junction of the main road to the side road that leads to the trullo so you can use that when you return. We had a very generous welcoming basket when we arrived, which included a lot of fresh fruit, pasta/sauce, milk, bread, juice, etc. TIP: Som appliances (like the Nespresso) need an adapter to plug in properly, but you can find these in the kitchen bureau drawer. I was very happy that they also have an electric milk frother so you can make perfect cappuccinos every morning. The pool was lovely, even though our week was on the windy and cool side so we couldn't use it as much as we had hoped. BE SURE to book the pizza making option (it was 30 euros PP when we were there). Francesco and his wife arrived and stoked the wood fire, showed us how to make the dough, and then proceeded to stuff us with a wide range of starters, followed by many different pizzas, followed by a luscious dessert pizza. They also provided a bottle of wine and also a delicious after-dinner cordial. We loved them so much we went to their restaurant the next day. Francesco's laugh is infectious. The location was perfect for day trips to places like Matera, Lecce, and Ostuni, as well as short rides for lovely dinners in Martina Franca and Locorotondo. Very close to the trullo village in Alberobello (touristy but you still have to go). Probably our two favorite places were Ostuni (wandering around the streets, all picture perfect before an amazing dinnner) and Polignano a Mare (visit the iconic beach, walk the quaint shopping area and find the various lookouts that give you a view of the rocky coast). You will likely have 2 or 3 feline visitors each evening (we named one Orie-kittie). My daughter especially loved their visits. Final tip: Don't shut the gate to the car park as it automatically locks (we had to rummage through a drawer of keys until we found one that opened it up). We highly recommend Trullo Stefano!
Amazing stay in Puglia! We loved our stay in Trullo Stefano! Plenty of room for 5 people. Property was clean and we had everything we needed. Pool was fantastic! Leandro was the best! Always available if we needed something. Thank you for all the suggestions!! We had an amazing time!
The most notable thing about booking with Puglia Paradise is the customer service. From making the initial booking through to being met by Antonella to be directed to the Trullo and shown where it was, we felt very confident about the level of support offered by Puglia Paradise. Nothing was too much trouble. The Trullo was as we expected, quiet and relaxing but with a great pool to relax in and a games room to have family fun in. The facilities provided everything we needed and the location was ideal for visiting several historic towns with our hire car. Make sure your car isn’t too big as the access is down a long narrow road. Take a google maps pin of the road junction for future reference. Alberobello, only a few minutes away, was one of our favourite places to visit and has a decent supermarket. We will be back!
Super !
Beautiful traditional Trullo in quiet unspoilt surroundings. Dear Massimo, Leandro and especially Antonella, From the planning of our holiday 9 months ago to the actual day we departed after enjoying 10 days at Trullo Stefano the team have been truly amazing. Every question we had however small and trivial prior to us leaving the UK was answered quickly and efficiently and anything we needed help with whilst staying at the Trullo, Antonella was there to get things sorted. We run a guest house here in the UK so we are fully aware of how important reviews are but realisically everyone knows that no amount of checking can avert the possibility of something going wrong but that's never the issue..... it's how it is dealt with that is. And this is where you will always need an “Antonella”. She was perfect from meeting us at the local supermarket and guiding us to the Trullo in her car to being at the end of the phone to answer any questions we had and always with a smile on her face and an efficiency that almost put us to shame! She even offered to get some avocados for us from the market when I messaged her asking advise because we couldn't find any ripe ones and this was on a Sunday too. You wouldn't get anyone doing that in the UK Trullo Stefano was amazing. From the beautiful ceilings and stone structure of the buildings to the amenities, the welcome pack of goodies, the toileteries, the games rooms and the pizza oven (all of which we tried out) but being great coffee lovers to have our own little nespresso machine plus the seperate milk frother was a real bonus and treat which we enjoyed every single evening without fail. It's the little things you see. Now we knew from the reviews the Trullo was remote and it was but beautifully quiet with the poppy fields to the right and olive groves to the left it was both tranquil and relaxing. The pool was a little chilly as Italy had experienced a poor May weather wise (according to every local we chatted to!) but once you were in and the sun was out it was great. Even the swallows kept diving for a drink of water! If you are looking for somewhere truly traditional, interesting, quiet and secluded this is the place for you but remember, if you have a car (which you'll definitely require) we also managed to travel over 1000km on daily trips to the most beautiful places like, Ostuni, Poligano a Mere, Matera, Mesagne, Martina Franca, Lecce and Gallipoli. All within easy reach for an afternoon trip but watch out for the lack of indicator use by the locals!!! Many tha

Trulli Stefano is the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. The Trulli is beautiful, has a private pool and is only few km from the sea. The highlight was the pizza oven which we used every night. Leandro was an amazing host and provided some great restaurant recommendations. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone.
A truly good Trullo holiday. My family and I stayed in this accommodation for almost a week. It is a very nice, well furnished house in the middle of the countryside, peaceful and quiet. Leandro, our host, welcomed us with a substantial package of food and drinks to cover the first day. Due to the time of the season it was too cold to swim but i could only recommend this accommodation!
Beautifully renovated traditional trullo with pool set in rural Puglia. We had a lovely relaxing holiday in this traditional well renovated rural trullo. Just one hour from Bari Airport, the Ryanair flight from Stansted was inexpensive; the rental is well equipped so we were able to cook meals and wash clothes making the holiday overall very reasonably priced. Very comfortable accommodation for 6 people. The pool was well maintained and very private with plenty of beach towels provided. The management company too was very friendly helpful and efficient and nothing seemed too much trouble. Highlights included our attempt at making pizza in the traditional wood burning pizza oven and perhaps too our daily visits from the neighbourhood cats. Alberobello is just 5 miles away where we got all our supplies and there are plenty of hilltop towns to visit for evening meals and gelato. The access track is narrow but we managed our rental Qashqai down it ok - just. Only problem was missing picking up our rental car because the flight was delayed 2 hours and arrived after midnight. Perhaps a little flyzee in September but the trullo is well screened. Just bring some Deet if eating outside. Highly recommended holiday for a group of adults.
W Puglia Paradise. Grazie
We spent an absolutely fabulous week at Trullo Stefano. The team at Puglia Paradise was amazing! The area is beautiful and there is so much to do. After a long day of touring we looked forward to returning to the villa to relax and swim in the gorgeous pool. A must is having a chef come and cook a traditional meat at the villa. We will definitely return!
The particular villa we stayed in was outstanding but the whole holiday was made easier with the assistance of Puglia Paradise. Initially we received all the information and assistance we needed, our payments were acknowledged promptly and there was good contact prior to arrival. We were met by Angela and taken to the property who was always charming and ready to provide assistance. We only had one relatively minor issue but this was dealt with very quickly. Very happy to recommend or use again.
Great vacation in a lovely trullo. We had a wonderful time in this recent restored trullo. The house is very charming and cosy. The beds are good quality. We especially enjoyed the great pool. A vacation to remember, made possible by Massimo who was allways available to help. Thanks to him and his team!
We enjoyed a great vacation at this recently restored trullo. The restoration is a succes and the house is very charming and cosy. We were a group of 5, and the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms suited very well. The beds are very comfortable. Next to the house is a beautiful pool, that helped us to refresh ourselves during the warm summer days. The staff at Puglia Paradise was very helpfull. They were always available to help us with our requests.
Trullo Stefano was a delightful place to stay, characterful, peaceful, with a cosy interior and excellent outside space and pool. We enjoyed relaxing at the property and our daily visit to the wonderful local bakery as much as exploring and discovering the wider charms of Puglia. The nearby coast is magnificent and the clear blue waters of the Adriatic a glorious complement to the ancient towns – the Trullis of Alberobello, the hillside walls of Ostuni, and above all the magnificence of nearby Matera - a world heritage site not to be missed. Finally, our thanks to Massimo and especially Grazia from Puglia Paradise who – though never intrusive - made us feel that our good holiday experience was their priority and were always available if we sought recommendations of where to visit or eat and on one needed occasion with invaluable assistance... We had a wonderful break and we would certainly recommend Trullo Stefano and Puglia Paradise to anyone looking for a holiday in this part of Italy.
Charming rural retreat. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all in the Puglian countryside, this is it. Not the simplest place to find, but Leandro who took care of us, met us and showed us the way and all along was exceptional and ensured our stay was smooth and every need looked after The place was clean, and well maintained and definitely ticked the "authentic" staying in a Truli experience box! We only stayed three days, but would have loved to stay more
My husband, adult children (25 and 23) and I, took our first trip to Southern Italy. We were fortunate to stumble across the Puglia Paradise website and their glorious homes to rent. We chose the beautiful Trullo Stefano. From the moment we selected our home away from home, until the moment we left, we were fortunate to be in contact with extreme professionals. All our questions and concern were answered before we left. Angela met us to show us how to get to the property. She was such a wonderful resource and was a text away the entire time we were there. The moment we drove onto the property we knew we wouldn't want to leave. The gorgeous trullo, the relaxing pool, and the quiet! Except for an occasional moo from the cow next, door, silence! When we stepped inside, a nice welcome basket awaited us on the kitchen table. Dinner, breakfast, snacks, wine, etc. so we didn't feel the need to have to run out the the store immediately. So thoughtful. The trullo more than suited our needs. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, and kitchen. A pizza trullo, where we took advantage of booking a local restaurant ower and his wife to come and make homemade pizza for us. Amazing! Puglia Paradise arranged that for us. One of the most memorable parts of our trip. Trullo Stefano is a great location. We were able to travel conveniently to Alberobello, Locorotondo ,Ostuni, Lecce, Martina Franca, Matera, Cisternino, and Molopoli from our trullo. Puglia Paradise, thank you for an amazing experience. Looking forward to our return trip!
It really was as good as we'd hoped. Can only echo what other reviewers have said. Fabulous family holiday. Trullo Stefano lived up to the pictures and reviews, it's a very special place to spend some time. Whilst it is quite remote, in the beautiful Puglia countryside, it is within easy travelling distance of many nice towns and villages including the beaches near Il Capitolo. We were even able to visit Monopoli and Ostuni which where a little further away, but always glad to get back to the comforts of the Trullo and the pool. We managed to make use of the Pizza oven which was great fun, and easily fed and entertained a large family group in the spacious grounds one afternoon/evening. Having a fast and reliable internet connection all around the property was also very useful. The folks at Puglia Paradise are great too. From the regular contact pre-arrival, and then a very pleasant greeting from Grazia who remained in touch should we have any questions or need anything during our stay. We would have gladly stayed longer than the week we had and thoroughly recommend Trullo Stefano & Puglia Paradise.
Peaceful Puglia Paradise in beautiful surrounding countryside. In the weeks leading up to the stay we were contacted by Puglia Paradise and made to feel confident that we were in very safe hands. We were greeted promptly and shown to the property, which absolutely blew us away at first glance. Set amidst olive groves and fig/cherry orchards, our beautiful trullo was the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comforts. The pool was a superb size (and temperature) and pizza oven room / games room a novel bonus. We are a family of 5 (3 kids under 5) and had been concerned about whether the property would be safe/suitable for our youngsters but it was perfect (can also imagine returning with friends for a very different experience!). The house itself was excellently equipped, including a welcome pack of local wine, preserves, pasta and fruit, plus the basics of bread and milk to help us settle quickly into our stay - such a nice touch). We contacted Puglia Paradise throughout the week with any queries, which was no problem to them at all. Grazia (Puglia Paradise) gave us some excellent beach, daytrip and dining recommendations, all of which were just right for us and our needs. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The location is the perfect one for exploring the whole region, with Pescoluse "the Maldives of Puglia" a 1h30 drive away (this was the longest distance covered but was a very straightforward journey and totally worth it). Much nearer to home we visited Polignano a Mare for dramatic cliff-top views and great food, Torre Guaceto to watch locals diving for sea urchins, Lido Stefano just south of Monopoli. Nearest shops had everything we needed (we travelled either 5 mins to San Marco or 10 mins to Locorotondo). The neighbours were LOVELY - the kids were given bowls of cherries / tours around farms / lots of hugs and kisses! Food (as expected) was out of this world - so simple yet delicious. We were able to live very frugally and yet it felt like total luxury. We flew into/out of Bari, which was a 50 minute drive. We would (and hopefully will) definitely return to this property, which has clearly been constructed and marketed with a great deal of love and attention to detail. Thank you.
Very pleasant / comfortable stay at Trullo Stefano We experienced a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Trullo Stafano and with Puglia Paradise. We travelled with a family of 2 adults and 4 teenage kids. The reception by Leandro of Puglia Paradise was very helpfull and friendly (speaks English very well). The accommodation was very clean and complete (no need to do initial shopping after a long day travelling, a welcome package and basic food supply available). The picturesque Trullo house is well-equipped , very complete: good beds, two bath-rooms, dish-washer, and even have a comfortable floor-heating for cold nights. Showers and hot-water supply all very good. Nice and clean swimming pool. Even the external pizza oven is equipped with everything you need to bake original Italian pizza's. Location of accommodation allows to reach lot's of nice villages in the neighbourhoud within 15min to half an hour. Lot's of nice restaurants to have diner in the evening. We would definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone who is searching for a pleasant and comfortable visit to Puglia.
Serenity in the countryside. Beautiful Trullo with a lovely big pool surrounded by olive groves down a super quiet country lane. Meals on the patio with starry nights and local wine. Trullo has all the things you need for your stay. Lovely stone floors and room to enjoy with friends and family. Walks along local lanes with a 5 minute drive to the bakery for croissants etc. Hilltop towns with history, restaurants and cooling breezes. Thoroughly recommended!!!
What a fantastic location tucked away in an olive grove in s very nice setting. We had a great time staying here and Massimo and his team did an excellent job of making sure everything was to a high standard. The pool and Trullio are both very picturesque and the Trullo well equipped and comfortable. The area is not too touristy but trips to local vineyards and Olive factory give a first hand experience of how authentic Italian produce is made locally. The Italians do love their food and we employed the local pizza chefs to make pizzas in the oven at the Trullo which was an amazing evening of good food and banter. Was excellent value for money and was organised by Massimo. So in all a great holiday and would thoroughly recommend
Fantastica! Posto meraviglioso. Fedele a quanto visto in rete, trovato perfettamente in ordine e pulitissimo. Lo consiglio a tutti. Roberto
Ottimo soggiorno in Puglia.
A perfect private holiday. We spent seven perfect days relaxing and swimming in the pool and enjoying the peace and quiet of the Trullo. A brilliant private location, and for those that need to be in contact with the outside world, we had a perfect Internet connection in and out of the Trullo! Massimo was very friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome in a home from home. The location is perfect to explore Alberobello and Puglia and the wonderful Italian food and wine. The house was very clean and really well equipped with everything you could need and a delight to sleep in the domed ceilings. The pizza oven was great fun and makes the perfect pizza – I suggest looking at YouTube before you start and is well worth effort. We would recommend anyone to stay here, and we plan to come back in the near future, it is the perfect getaway.
Traditional Trullo We really enjoyed this beautiful, complete Trullo with the beautiful pool !! The Trullo is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, iron etc. Outdoors is plenty of space and shade to sit and enjoy and enjoy nature. The pizza oven is also very nice, but unfortunately we have not used it. The location is a bit remote, the nearest shop is 10 minutes drive by car, so you definitely need it. That's why it's really quiet, beautiful surroundings to relax. Alberobello is nearby and very nice to visit and to eat out there, plenty of restaurants. The host Massimo is very helpful and friendly and speaks good English, you can ask him everything. We had leakage to the shower and he let it down right away. We also had a lot about him during the preparation of our daughter's marriage. He helped us very much with things !! It's a top Trullo and a top host !! We really enjoyed it !!
Superb! Trullo Stefano is definitely a dream vacation! we enjoyed 10 days in this wonderful trullo. The house is just perfect; we loved sleeping in the this traditional house. The pool was clean and beautiful. Puglia and local people are both lovely. Food is great! we will definitely come back soon!
